We could have called it Here's to the Crazy Ones, like everyone else who has ever wanted to put a black-and-white portrait behind a quotation about changing the world.
But that would be the obvious thing to do.
So we left out to.
Obviously.
The instrument asks a less comfortable question: are you actually crazy enough to build the thing you keep talking about?
whether you have a big idea.
whether you are unconventional.
whether someone once told you that you think different.
Those are cheap.
The test is what you did.
A thing you built when nobody asked.
A thing you kept working on after the applause stopped.
A decision that made no sense on the spreadsheet.
A beautiful mistake you refused to turn into a lesson.
A door you opened because everyone else said it was a wall.
The crazy ones don't need the title. They already built something.
